About
Mike has been on quite a journey, nothing extreme, nothing super stellar, just a remarkably chaotic, jumbled and confusing life.
Foster homes
Childrens homes
Nans home
Finally home
Leaving home
Popping home
Mobile homes
Static homes
Then the bit that carries on relentlessly, until its time for the funeral home.
That's where he is now, when all the moving stopped, he thought it would be some kind of happy ending, but he's found it frustrating and nerve wracking to finally have a home that's not going anywhere.
After a lifetime of living with one foot out the door, it's very difficult to accept that this is it, this is life. Having attended 11 schools, and never lived anywhere for more than a few years, with very little history and virtually no school, college or work friends, what exactly is it all about?
Michael is 69 now, he lives by the sea in Wales, he has a part time role as a picture framer for a local gallery.
He feels it sounds so bloody typical.
Currently undergoing some pretty epic therapy.
He spends too much time wondering whether to move, either back to London, or to go further west, anywhere really, that thoughts are free.
